Dear Junior Umpires,

Firstly I’d like to congratulate all Umpires who ran over the finals Series and to those who were appointed Grand Finals on Sunday.

Umpiring AFL football I think is an extremely challenging job and to have you put your hand up week in, week out is a credit to who you are as a person. Without Umpires there wouldn’t be a game of football so always remember that.

Season 2023 has been a massive year with over 150 games per week to fill over 14 rounds plus 2 interleague weekends. The commitment shown by all hasn’t gone unnoticed by AFLSE, Junior Coaches & also the Clubs.

On behalf of Darren Murray & Xavier Willis plus all the assistants and observers, we thank each and every one of you for an outstanding season.

We now look to 2024. This off-season we will be putting together some new incentives to better develop your skills as Umpires. I ask that each of you to please fill out the Jotform provided below. This will help myself and the Coaches better understand how you think the season went and what we can improve on for 2024.

Enjoy the off-season and we look forward to seeing you back on the field in 2024.
