{"id":583,"date":"2023-04-20T10:30:59","date_gmt":"2023-04-20T00:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aflseclubhub.com.au\/umpires\/?p=583"},"modified":"2023-04-20T10:30:59","modified_gmt":"2023-04-20T00:30:59","slug":"afl-south-east-umpire-department-update-20th-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aflseclubhub.com.au\/umpires\/afl-south-east-umpire-department-update-20th-april\/","title":{"rendered":"AFL South East Umpire Department &#8211; Update &#8211; 20th April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please see below update with <strong>MPFNL <\/strong>entering it\u2019s 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Round and the <strong>SEWF, AFL South East Regional (U13 to U19), FDJ (U11-U12) &amp; SEJ (U11-12) <\/strong>competitions getting underway this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>All Umpires \u2013 ANZAC Weekend<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Across the weekend many of our clubs are holding ANZAC Ceremonies pre-match, and some of your appointment times are slightly altered.<\/p>\n<p>We urge all Umpires to please embrace such a special weekend and work with our Clubs so that these can occur as a priority.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the AFL South East Umpiring Department, we pay our respects and sincerest gratitude to all of our current and past Servicemen &amp; Servicewomen and particularly acknowledge those in our Umpiring community who have served or are currently serving in our Defence Force.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Lest We Forget.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Seniors (MPFNL &amp; SEWF) \u2013 ANZAC Weekend<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following each MPFNL Seniors &amp; SEWF match, there will be the awarding of the J.A Gloury Medal, a highly prestigious honour for the Best On Ground in each match.<\/p>\n<p>This will be awarded by both Coaches coming together and deciding who they believe was Best on Ground.<\/p>\n<p>To find out more about John Arthur Gloury and his incredible service for our Region, head to the MPFNL website.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clubs have the ability to present this either post-match on the ground or in their social rooms after the match. Senior Umpires are encouraged to attend this presentation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>April 19 Pay Run <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As communicated on April 19 on the Club Hub, unfortunately there was an issue with AFL Finance &amp; OfficialsHQ which has meant that the Pay-Run from April 19 will be completed today <strong><em>April 20. <\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nWe apologies for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>MATCH DAY PAPERWORK &amp; VOTES<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Match Day Paperwork &amp; Votes are to be completed via OfficialsHQ (when you get your appointment sent to you via email this gives you access to complete this)<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are unable for any reason to complete this on the OfficialsHQ site, please scan the QR Codes in the Umpire Changerooms \u2013 Match Day Paperwork. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Umpires have been outstanding over the first (3) weeks regarding their submissions of this on OfficialsHQ and on the odd occasion via the QR Code and it is sincerely appreciated. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Junior Appointments<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This weekend if you wish to umpire a match for some extra cash, or if you are able to assist in helping train some of our 200 newly registered umpires please contact;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>South East Region (SEJ) \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Darren Murray (0481790135)<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Bayside Region (FDJ) \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Xavier Willis (0422 116 893)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are always looking for more Umpires so that our loyal squad don\u2019t have to do multiple games a weekend, and with the growth we are seeing, there\u2019s no better time to sign up.<\/p>\n<p>So get your friends involved and get paid for the best seat in the house.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>AFL SOUTH EAST COMMUNITY UMPIRING WEEK &amp; ROUND <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The weekend of May 5\/6\/7 will be the AFL South East\/SUA Community Umpire Round and Week and further news will be sent around this shortly!<\/p>\n<p>As part of our recognition to the entire AFL South East community across our (5) competitions, we are asking the following from our Umpires \u2013<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Senior Umpires \u2013 Training at 6pm at Kananook Reserve (WEDNESDAY MAY 3) \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>BRING YOUR GREEN MATCH-DAY SHIRT FOR PHOTO OPPORTUNITY.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Junior Umpires \u2013 No Training at Kananook Reserve (MONDAY MAY 8)<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Junior Umpires \u2013 ALL Training at 6pm at Casey Fields (MONDAY MAY 8) \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>BRING YOUR GREEN MATCH-DAY SHIRT FOR PHOTO OPPORTUNITY &amp;
