The women and girls umpiring program kicked off on Monday 2nd September and the increment weather did not keep anyone away!

 

We had a fantastic turnout and I’d like to thank all clubs in the region for getting behind the program. Week 2 is set to be fantastic as the girls take to the ground.

Once more, I encourage all clubs to spread awareness of the program to not only introduce more women and girls to the great game but also bolster umpiring numbers in 2025 – this will positively impact on umpiring quality for your club as the talent pool diversifies.
