Love For Bella Round – Mount Eliza JFC

24 July 2024

The Mt Eliza Junior Football Club invites all Clubs to honour Bella Allan by incorporating a touch of yellow into their playing uniforms on Sunday, July 28th. Bella, who courageously battled leukemia for seven years, passed away in 2022. During her fight, she cherished her time playing football at MEJFC, following in the footsteps of her siblings. Bella’s love for the game brought her joy, camaraderie, and a sense of independence, allowing her to momentarily escape the rigors of her medical treatments.

In 2017, at the start of Bella’s football journey, we established the ‘Love for Bella’ Day at MEJFC to celebrate Bella’s remarkable strength and resilience. This event not only showed Bella the immense support and affection from her team and the entire club but also extended to our Senior Club and several other clubs in the FDJFL. Bella and the Allan family have profoundly impacted our community.

Community clubs play an essential role in the lives of their members, fostering support, connection, and unity. We invite all clubs to come together Sunday July 28th to honour Bella’s memory and the enduring spirit of community.

All MEJFC games in Round 13 will be celebrated with The Bella Allan Strength and Courage medal. 2 Medals will be awarded at each game to a player from each team who display strength, courage and sportsmanship. These medals will be awarded by the MEJFC Coach at the conclusion of each game.

We invite all clubs to share your photo’s of the day and medal winners to [email protected] or through messenger on our Mt Eliza Junior Football Club  facebook page.

We will be compiling a video to celebrate all clubs involvement that will be shared to the league.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for your involvement!

Looking forward to celebrating Bella and the importance of our Clubs with all of you
