Hi all,
The MPFNL Women’s football competition will include the ‘Last Disposal’ rule as well as changes regarding boundary throw-in rules.
They are as follows:
52.2.1 – Refer to the ‘Laws of Australian Football’ which shall be updated annually. Particular attention shall be
given to ‘exemptions’ to the Rules which have been granted to AFL Victoria Country. Some additional
AFLW specific rules are to be used – https://www.afl.com.au/aflw/about-AFLW/rules
52.2.2 – Between the 50-metre arcs, boundary throw-ins (or ball ups dependant on umpire numbers) happen
10m inside the boundary line, with the aim of landing approximately 25m into the field of play. Inside the
forward and defensive 50-metre arcs, the boundary throw-ins happen from the boundary line.
52.2.3 – If the ball goes out of bounds between the forward and defensive 50m arcs as a result of a kick (including kick off of the ground) or
handball, the opposing team will receive a free kick where the ball crossed the line. If it is not clear who
touched the ball last, it is thrown in.
